I really enjoy this room. It is a place that we can make a crafty creation, a huge mess and/or shut the door if we want to, out of sight, out of mind!
The main focus is my old TV entertainment center...you know the era, a giant projection TV surrounded by all the cupboards and shelves kind...
Originally I wanted it to be a desk...then I decided it would be perfect storage for all my little embellishments : )
So, I added a bunch of wood and molding...
The top features a corneas piece to make it appear more like a built in.
Then, I built some shelves on each side to add extra storage
In the middle at the bottom, I added 3 large drawers...good for paper and a garbage can : )
The top of the doors are covered with metal for things I want to hang with magnets
The black part of the doors is chalkboard for ideas that I need to brainstorm.
All of my things are in clear, decorative holders. That way I don't forget what I have or where I put it...(I am good at that).
Things like...buttons, ink and stamp pads, flower embellishments, metal embellishments, letters etc.
I love this door. I adopted it from a salvage yard...buried and forgotten!
I loved it's destressedness. So, added some of my favorite color red and left some of the original bluish paint and the dark brown original all show through. Then, added a brown stain over the top to make it appear even older...no Botox here!
It is on barn slide hardware...could it get any sweeter?
Another fun little addition is this little box. I believe it was made to hold records in its day. It is perfect for paper storage and tackle boxes with odds and ends embellishments.
The basket on top is full of all my stamps..
